Members of PricewaterhouseCoopers' Forensic Services team have undertaken a community challenge at Middleton Elderly Aid.
The teams' first challenge was to undertake gardening work at six homes of elderly people in the Middleton area.

email alerts from Middleton Today.Due to old age or ill health, the elderly occupants have to rely on the services provided through organisations such as Middleton Elderly Aid to help maintain the condition of their homes.
* Click here to become a fan of Middleton Today on Facebook.The teams' second challenge was to give the Middleton Elderly Aid charity shop a revamp; freshening the walls with brightly coloured paint and giving the skirting boards and wooden panels in the shop a modern look with a coat of white gloss.
The shop is not just a key source of funding for the charity, but also acts as a drop in centre for the elderly community of Middleton.

"The feedback from people over the past 2 days as been tremendous, comments such as "much lighter, brighter and a pleasure to shop in.
"Our shop is an important part of the local community. It serves as a drop in centre for the elderly within the community and also as a fundraiser for the charity by selling items donated by the general public."
Will Richardson, a director in the Forensics Services team at PricewaterhouseCoopers, told

"The team really enjoyed being able to help a local and very worthy cause. PricewaterhouseCoopers in Leeds devotes a huge amount of time and resource to many charities in the region.
"It's something we do proudly as an integral member of the local community."
