Beeston councillors have thrown their support behind the newly reformed Beeston Broncos junior Rugby League club.
The club re-started at the end of last year under a new management team and local councillors have already given them financial support.

Councillor Angela Gabriel, Coun David Congreve and Coun Adam Ogilivie have donated £100 to kick start the team
, while the council's Inner South

Area Commitee have given £1,000 to the Broncos.

Coun Gabriel (Lab) said: "It's great news that the Broncos are up and running again in Beeston and my ward colleagues and I are thrilled that we have been able to help.

"It's really important that we encourage our children to take part in sports and the chance to be part of a great club like the Beeston Broncos is an exciting opportunity for them.

"Not only do they help our kids to have fun and keep fit, but I believe teams like this can play a great role in our community."

The Broncos are looking forward to the start of the season and want to create other teams alongside their Under-10s side.
