Amateur athletes took to the streets to raise funds for Beeston Festival.

Beeston residents Vicci Gabriel, 31, a social worker, Sue Talbot, 52, who works in the mental health sector, and Jeremy Morton, 48, who is director of local community business project Tiger11, were among those who took part in the Silverstone Half Marathon on Sunday.

Spokeswoman Zoe Mitchell said: "Beeston Festival is a celebration of all the good things that make up the diverse and exciting community of Beeston."
Councillor Angela Gabriel, chairman of Beeston Festival Committee, said: "I am so impressed that Vicci, Sue and Jeremy are prepared to run such a distance to help the festival.
"It's typical of the spirit of Beeston residents and the support the festival has in this community."
