Beeston pensioner dies in mobility scooter crash
A pensioner was killed when his mobility scooter hit a kerb and tipped over in Beeston.
The 78-year-old man was riding his scooter on Town Street at 10.25am on Thursday, June 26, towards Beeston Ring Road, close to the junction with Red Hall Close, when the front nearside wheel hit the kerb.
The scooter then mounted the pavement before tipping into the road.
The man was taken to Leeds General Infirmary but died later that evening.
