Robbers escaped with a substantial sum of cash in a raid on a Beeston fast-food restaurant.
The two raiders wearing balaclava masks burst into McDonald's restaurant on Elland Road, Beeston at about 10.10pm on Friday, June 20.
They threatened two male assistants behind the counter with weapons and demanded money.
The gang then grabbed a quantity of cash before running out of the building back into Elland Road in the dusk.
They jumped into a getaway car which sped off along Elland Road towards the Leeds Outer Ring Road.
Both raiders are believed to have been men and today police appealed for any witnesses, in particular any person who saw a car waiting near the building, to ring City and Holbeck CID on (0113) 2414659.
